When the complaint that I filed against a charter school was rejected by the state, I contacted Tony Thurmond's office directly to see if I could get an appointment to discuss the violation. Forget about an appointment, I wasn't even able to get a response.

The excuse that I continuously get about a lack of accountability for charter schools from Thurmond's office is that it is the governor who really has the power. If this is the case, then turn the office into a large megaphone. Thurmond should have been loudly promoting the charter accountablility bills that Newsom killed.

As far as me running, I believe that this is a position that should be held by a professional educator. Besides, I have my hands full dealing with issues in Los Angeles!
